Our Team


  • Raya has worked for Bechtel and bp, where his roles spanned safety, engineering and operations management. Following this, he founded MAXARI in 2018 with the intent of pivoting his construction and energy background the renewables industry.

    MAXARI began as a distribution company for industrial and renewable energy supplies and grew to include installation and construction. As CEO, Mr. Guruswamy has grown MAXARI by 18% year on year. Their client portfolio includes government agencies, Prime contractors and Fortune 500 companies.

    Raya is member of the Southwest Minority Supplier Diversity Council (SWMSDC) Construction Committee, Texas Association of Businesses (TAB), and the Asian Chamber of Commerce (ACC).

    Mr. Guruswamy earned his BS in Energy-Business-Finance (EBF) from Penn State University, an MS in Systems Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University, and completed an MBA at IE Business School in Madrid, Spain.

  • Bob Wells, Chief Financial Officer at Maxari EV, brings a wealth of financial expertise and leadership to the team. Bob has served as CFO for several large overseas banks and financial institutions, contributing his strategic financial acumen to these organizations.

    Bob's profound insights and financial stewardship have enabled businesses to secure loans at competitive rates, further solidifying his reputation as a key player in the financial success of organizations. His commitment to excellence and strategic financial management continues to make a significant impact on Maxari EV's financial stability and growth.

  • Lisa Prusak, MA, SHRM-SCP, brings a wealth of leadership experience spanning over 25 years, including serving as the former CEO of a global chemical manufacturing company.

    In her role as Chief Strategy Officer for Maxari EV, Lisa formulates and executes initiatives to grow the company and identify new opportunities. Beyond her proven record of accomplishment in optimizing organizational growth, she is devoted to assisting clients with their strategies, offering invaluable support for their success in the dynamic and rapidly evolving electric vehicle landscape.

    Ms. Prusak earned her Master’s in Industrial Organizational Psychology from the University of Houston Clear Lake. She is also a Board Member for Family-to-Family Network.

  • James English acts as General Counsel at Maxari EV and is Senior Counsel with Clark Hill. James specializes in EV and electrification transactions, with a primary focus on charging station infrastructure, battery storage, and behind-the-meter solar solutions. His extensive experience includes leading counsel roles in overseeing the implementation of EV charging across three thousand (3,000) retail locations and EPC contracts.

    As General Counsel to the Maxari EV Leadership Team, James brings this wealth of expertise to the table. His client portfolio includes major retailers, toll road networks, as well as engineering firms and operating developers. Serving as a project leader, James assumes general counsel responsibilities, managing compliance, technology implementation, dispute avoidance, restructuring, and general M&A support.

  • Innovative and strategic Electric Vehicle Charging Executive with over 5 years of experience in the electrification, mobility, and IoT space. Proven ability to lead and manage the implementation and operation of EV charging stations and connected mobility solutions. Skilled in identifying and capitalizing on industry trends, developing and executing strategies for growth, and managing budgets and financial analysis. Strong background in construction and project management, with a track record of delivering projects on-time and on-budget.

    Tarun is a seasoned executive boasting over 5 years of expertise in driving innovation within the electrification, mobility, and IoT domains. He has proven his adeptness in steering the implementation and operational aspects of EV charging stations and integrated mobility solutions. Recognized for an acute awareness of industry trends, coupled with a track record of successfully formulating and executing growth strategies. Tarun is focused on execution of MAXARI’s national projects, managing budgets, schedule and vendors.
